New Paltz

Last Tuesday, most of the juniors at IHS went to a trip to New Paltz SUNY. We departed at 7:00 am and it took us about 2 hrs and 30 min to get there. Many of us slep until we anxiouslly waited to arrive there. The first thing we did was walk to the Lecture Hall and listened important facts about New Paltz.
We learned about the background of the college and three different ways to get into New Paltz. Out of te three ways of getting into New Platz the one that interested me the most was the Education Oportunity Program (EOP), which consists on giving extra support to the ones who have the knowledge and enthusiams to get into New Paltz but don't have all the requirenments the admission asks for.
This was a important point which made me think that they worry for the students, and not just for population on the school. After that we were introduced to students who later took us to a trip around the campus. In the tour they gave us details about the buldings, and environmet. They also responded to all of the questions we had.
At the end of the day we went to the cafeteria, which for one of us was the most excited part. The food was delicious. After that we headed to Brooklyn, in which many including myself slept, again. =)
Waking up at 5:40 am was worth it, even though i thought i was not going to be able to wake up that early, but I made it. I ended up tired, but i don't regret going to New Paltz. I hope we keep having fun trips as this one and the one in Philadelphia.
I would like to say Thanks all my wonderful teachers for making my highschool's years one of the mosts.
LOVES YA Diana Araujo

I like the way you write. You are a very good writer, however you might want to read it again to correct some tiny mistakes. Good job, I have the same feeling about New Paltz perhaps a little bit different.
