The Vera institute is a diverse organization however, they emphacize on immigration justice, criminal justice, and youth justice.

Justice business, they make sure that immigrants, youth, and criminals' rights are not violated.

Tell a little about your mentor.
Susan Shah works on the immigration cases department and she's currently working on a project that is called "Breaking Language Barriers" between police officers or law enforcement agencies, and immigrants.
What happened on the first day?
I got there, Susan gave me a tour and then I started reading about her project [mentioned above]
What kinds things have you done so far?
I've helped them find the locations of police departments and law enforcement agencies nationwide to see where the "Translating Justice within Law Enforcement Best Practices Accessment Survey" was sent, and see where the rsponses have come from.
What were some of the highlights of the first week? (Memorable moments, cool things...)
I learned interesting information about police officers. =)
When do you leave school?
I leave IHS at 11:30am, right after our second period class ends.
How long does it take you to get to your internship?
It taks me about 40-45 minutes to get to my intership site. (depends on train traffic)
When do you arrive at home? What is your schedule? (What days do you work and for how long each day?)
I work from Mon-Wed from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Therefor, I get home around 6:00 pm.
Who are the two people that can sign your time card? (Your mentor and the additional person)
Susan Shah, her co-worker Rodolfo Estrada, or the facility supervisor Gloria or sometimes when she's not avaliable Davhan.
